Good article. I did a lot of reading through research articles recently for a write-up on high fructose corn syrup for my blog. I think this article has a great breakdown of advice at the end that is backed up by the scientific research.

I do think, though, that this article, and many others, make too much of looking for reasons that HFCS is worse than sugar. It is unclear from the research if HFCS significantly worse than sugar concerning obesity and diabetes.

It is good that this article points out the need to be concerned about our intake of both sugar and HFCS, but we should work on making this the focus of topics like this, not a side note to trying to find reasons why HFCS is worse than sugar.

Also, in my search I found little scientific research pointing to problems due to the role of carbonyls.
